Well this is my first time doing this so I don't know if the chips or the programmer are actually good.
But I bought a batch of dozen of the 15L's after trying 4 I would think some of them must work anyway, if not all.

Sorry I don't have an oscilloscope.

I appreciate the offer, that would certainly help.
But it's a long drive from atlanta and new york lol :)

Hmm, this is funny.
Can you tell us more detail about your target hardware. Is it 'known good'?
How you have the ATTiny15L connected? (Do you have a schematic?)

You mentioned LEDs on the AVRSIP. What colour are they? Frankly I do not
take much notice of them (when it just works) but there is a detailed
description of the status leds for the AVRISP in the AVR Studio 'AVR Tools'
Help file.

Do you have an oscilloscope? If so check you might check then signals coming
from the programmer.

I am stumped. You need to first determine whether it's the AVRISP or the
target hardware (FWIW my gut feel is that it's not the ISP). Do you have
other target hardware you can try with?

What part if the world are you located in?
I am in Sydney AU, you are welcome to drop into my office and we can spend a
few minutes with my AVRISP to check your hardware.

Well, if you start out today I'll see you next Tuesday ;-) You do have
floaties' don't you? (floaties.com.au) <grin>)

Sorry I could help...

When you get things going please let the group know what the problem was.
Good Luck.

Which version of AVRStudio are you using, I have had some nasty issues with the Jungo USB

driver it seems that when upgrading from Studio v4.17 to Studio v4.18 the USB driver

may not be uninstalled (see AVRStudio 4.18 release notes) and this has caused a lot of pain with the jtagicemk2, it seems to only

partially work. I had some problems with win xp 32 bit and a lot more with windows 7 64 bit. After

much frustration I found that with Studio installed I had to manually unistall the USB driver and reinstall

the correct version from the correct drivers folder of AVRStudio. Ex (usb) or (usb64).

Just in case anyone want to follow the original thread.

Still don't know if the ISP header has been wired looking from the TOP
or whether any bypass caps have been installed.
