Thanks for the suggestion that would work as I described I wanted it
too, but I didn't explain that part very well.

The actuator of the momentary switch needs to stay 'ON'. The visible
part of the switch is very important.

It is not enough for me just to provide a circuit, I need to keep the
switch in position as well.

We are simulating a certain switch in an aircraft ( the ATArm switch of
the MCP in a 737NG).

I have a design company coming into see me tomorrow, but I wanted to
exhaust all other options first. :)

Can you use the actual switch or doesn't it work the way you need? I once worked for a company that built trainer equipment for a major free world Navy and we used the tactical equipment as much as possible and modified to suit our needs when necessary.

You might also check the mil-spec switch components of Eaton Corporation, it may still be Cutler-Hammer, and Honeywell. They used to make aircraft switches.

Why not purchase the actual aircraft panel switch?
