Hi yall, I have a virus kb round 2 years now...just coming to really appreciate its qualities, nuances. however, also noticed that I am subtlely but profoundly irritated by some of the sibilances and "digital-ness" that accompany a great many of the sounds... Also, i've generally had a difficult time "fitting" the virus' sounds into a mix. Something about it... Maybe its too "clean", I need something a bit more dusty, but interstellar and versatile, & can fit into jangly electro jazz hip hop......hence my presence on this forum. So, I'd like to try a real deal analog synth. Considering either the Andromeda or Vermona perFourmer. Andromeda online demos sound quite bootsy, compared to Vermona's. The Vermona's got some gritty, liquidy, zippidy, fat tones...but no patch memory, nofx. However, I heard the Andromeda on the Miles_Gurtu cd (don't sleep!), sounds very neat. The mp3s of the a6's sounds on sonicstate don't sound all that sharp...:/ But for some reason, I have a sense about the Andy hoping its not just an another over-hyped box. I guess I wanna know the inside scoop...is it really all that? Most times I see it sold on ebay, the guy only had it for under a year! Often only 6 months! Any words are appreciated. ~peace Daniel
