Boss VF-1 Effect Processor

Hi All - 

I have a couple VF-1 units (both v1.0) - one is part of my live rig and has loads of time invested in patch programming etc. I'll be doing a midi back up of it's data prior to doing the 1.2 update. I was wondering if your presets/patches got overwritten or otherwise messed with after you did the update to v1.2 from 1.x?

Also, what's up with the v1.3 update at the Roland Germany site? Is that something different from the US v1.2 update? 

I've gathered from searching this UG that tap tempo is a part of the v1.2 update as well as the new speaker sim algorithm. Anything else of note? Thanks - BC
