Limitations placing the effects in the chain. The vf has two guitar algorithms (Pb1 and Pb2, it also has a acoustic git. alg Pb4, haven't used that much yet). PB1 : comp/lim -wah -preamp/speaker sim. - 4 band eq - ns - Mod (this block contains a hr, fl, ph, sub eq, 2ce - shortdelay -hu - vb -syn - rm -slicer and allows you to choose one of them, another limitation) - delay - chorus - reverb. Okay, the manual says: you can (only) place the Mod and the pre/speakersim. anywhere in the effect chain, quite a difference compared to the GP. Pb2 looks like this: com/lim - sfx (contains a ac guit sim, bass git sim, a pick up sim. and a slow gear, a trem/pan and a feedbacker, again a limitation because you can only choose 1) - preamp/sp.sim. - wah - 4bandeq - ns - delay - ce -reverb. I can (only) place the sfx block and the preamp sp. sim anywhere in the chain. Finally, I took a look at your website and your gear, nice. I own a JV - 880 and a Gr -30 and some more stuff. If you can afford the extra money : buy the vf and keep the gp, it's worth the money, this thing has a lot to offer besides the guitar department/alg, and looking at your gear (esp. the mixer using the send returns): the VF is a lovely toy, my synths are sounding like they never did before, the vf has 46 or so algorithms and lots of possibilyties (excuse my spelling) greetings, Sjaak de Vos -----Oorspronkelijk bericht----- Van: the_mincer <mincer1@...> Aan: BossVF1@yahoogroups.com <BossVF1@yahoogroups.com> Datum: woensdag 12 december 2001 2:55 Onderwerp: [BossVF1] Re: VF-1 vs GP-100 > Thanks for the info.
