Boss VF-1 Effect Processor

Hi,

I've bought recently the VF-1.
I want to use it in a parallel effectloop so I can only hear the wet 
signal.
When I use the chorus for 50% (so 50% direct signal thru the VF-1)the 
direct VF-1 siganl clashes with my original direct signal (frequency 
are cancelled out).How to overcome this problem?
One way would be the set the chorus to 100% wet signal but this isn't 
what I want.This would mean that all the effects should be set to 
100%.
Please help.
