Thorsten, thanx for the info. No, its not a portable and till now it has not been dropped or something like that, at least not that I know/remember. Really don't understand why I lost those recordings TWICE ! First time I thought I accidently presssed some buttons on the remote keyboard(the Sony can be connected to a normal ps2 computer keyboard for convenient naming tracks) or the remote control (a year ago my minidisc was acting totally stupid till I discovered my cat lying on and activating the remote control, pffffffffffffffffffff) But this is a new feature, hmmm well I hope its the disc or something and not the minidiscplayer, the future will probably tell... Well all my lost music is still in my computer but I started rerecording this morning but I stopped, totally not in the mood, grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr so i would probably end up with uninspired mixed recordings, gonna enjoy the nice weather and rehearse with the band this afternoon. That should help getting in a better mood, have a nice weekend, And if your wondering why minidisc, wel its very easy to access/record and relisten my recordings/music, After a while I make a selection and transfer it (digital) into my computer and re-use it and/or burn it on cd. This gives me good ennuf quality for the moment, but I wanna change my setup so I can, if I want to, record the mix directly into my computer, with a few "minor" changes this should be possible (A new mixer probably). Sjaak >>>minidiscplayer auto-erasing recordings> >this may be the player if it is a portable device which has been >dropped to concrete floor sometime. >>>How reliable is minidisc , I have this thing for two years now and it works >VERY reliable. It is the same (or nearly) technique as MO discs which >should last 30-50 years and can be written to 100.000nds of times and >read from millions of times.
