High-Z Input on VF-1

High-Z Input on VF-1

2002-05-07 by mohodisco

I'm really bummed that one of the rear inputs deactivates when you
plug anything into the High-Z input on the front. Now I can't leave
my VF-1 plugged into my mixer in an fx loop AND have my guitar
plugged into the front. I have to keep plugging and unplugging the
guitar.

Does anyone know of a way around this?

Thanks,

LAVA

I had the same inputproblem and wrote roland, this was the answer:
"The left input at the rear wil be disconnected when you plug in the Hi-Z
input.
The rear right input will function".

I would like to be able to switch those inputs off and on somewhere in the
menu/utility.
But the vf can't do this, pity

Yeah, I opened mine up to see if anything could be rewired, but alas
the entire thing was one giant PCB with the jacks surface mounted on
there. If only they'd been separate and wired to a smaller central
PCB, the mod would have been easy... But you're just asking for
trouble messing with the config that's there now... probably have to
cut some solder traces and stuff. I'm not up for that.
