Feedbacker

Anyone have any tips for using the feedbacker? I use the VF-1 right after the Johnson J Station...the tone for the feedbacker is very quiet and weak. I used the feedbacker in the GP-100 before I got the VF-1 and it worked perfectly. I thought I had the feedbacker set up correctly on the VF-1- I mean, I have the level all the way up, and it does generate the right notes, just too quiet to be usable.
