Sticky HI-Z input ?

Built like a tank, o.k. We know the expression and we know there are tanks and tanks. I'm starting to wonder which (tank) quality Boss used concerning the inputs. There's not a real problem (yet) but I think my VF-1 is showing its first mechanical trouble. I use the VF a lot and that means using the guitar (HI-Z) at the front and both the inputs at the rear. Lately I've had some input problems in the JV-880 (synth) out---- Vf-1 rear inputs, the input at the right channel was very weak compared to the left channel (or the other way around, i'm not 100% certain anymore about the left/rightstuff). So I started thinking how the .... this could happen, we also know that if we plug in the VF-1 at the front using the guitar HI-Z the left input at the rear wil be disconnected (at least it should but the signal transmission still blends in). So I gently plugged in the HI-Z hoping this would (not) resolve the problem, but it did, several times. There's still a slight chance this has something to do with coincidence but I quess the HI-z input tends to stay active ( thinks its still plugged in) while it supposed to be not (because there is nothing plugged in). And by doing this it disconnects one of the rear inputs, I bought the VF less then a year ago, I'll let you know when this (mickey mouse ?) input system is totally down the drain/messed up. Greetings and coffee please, Sjaak
