Programming the VF-1 with the Behringer FCB 1010 Midi Controller

Programming the VF-1 with the Behringer FCB 1010 Midi Controller

2004-02-26 by carmelosgar

A quick (ha-ha) question - do I need the MIDI Implentation Chart for
the VF-1 when programming the presets on the FCB? I am having a hard
time getting my expression pedals to work. I have contacted Behringer
tech support and they've sent me the step by step procedure for
programming the exp.pedals. I want to program exp pedal A for volume
and B for effects (wah, etc.). I get through all the step, but when I
have to enter in a preset value for either volume or wah from the VF-
1 I hit the roadblock.

Hi,
i use FCB to control my VF1 without any pb. For controlling parameters you have to
assign a CC nb to the param you want to control. No needs for the implementation chart; because
it does not exist for the VF1, because the implementation depends on you.
The only thing which is done by Boss concerning midi and you cant modify is the
sysex implementation, which is for very advanced users.
Good luck
Nico

VF1- general question

2004-02-27 by kham

Hi,

I got a use VF1 with no manual and I need to know how
to use midi to change the patch because I dont have a
foot controller if that is possible at all. I
remembered this group was talking about scanning the
manual into pdf and would make it available for
members? thanks in advance.

Go to your local guitar store or music store, they can
order you one for $5 or $10.

The vf-1 has four assignable controls.

You can choose the CC nr. and the parameter wich wil react to that CC.

You can find the assignable controls at the end of each patch algo in the
edit menu.

So you need to now what your Behringer sends, I have used a roland fc 200
for this.
But I think the Behringer must be able to do this also.
