Boss VF-1 Effect Processor

i wonder if any of the group has a similar problem to myself.
as being a guitarist i use the vf1 in that enviroment with full range 
multimedia amp and speakers(home use only).
i find that the preamps are very fizzy,this is using line out mode 
and with mic level on 100.
i have also a line 6 pod,korgax1000,vg8ex,gr33 these however sound 
really good through the set up.
is this common with the vf1.
does anybody have any ideas on there setup.

I don't really have these problems,i'm using a gr -33 that sound immediatly 
great even with my computer speaker,and my vf-1 sound quiet good,not as good 
as when i use it on my attacks 100,but quiet good,and better when i record it 
and play (i use cubase 5).
My speakers are logitech,i think that you must first have real good 
speakers,and you must adjust the patch for your speakers,i definitvly think 
that a vf-1 can run in any situation with a little patience in 
adjustment.....(don't forget to put it on the line configuration).

Is the Direct output set at "0"? If it is, then the only other problem I can
think of is that you are probably overdriving your amplifier's input. Back
off the master volume and see if that fixes it. Also, be sure you've got the
VF-1s input levels set correctly.

If you have the levels set too high in the COSM amp simulator it will 
give you that extra fizz noise.  You might try turning the level down 
a bit and see if the fizz goes away.
