Boss VF-1 Effect Processor

Hi!

Today I bought a Boss VF-1.

I wanted to test the unit but when the Boss - VF-1 startup-picture is displayed nothing happens.

I waited some minutes and turned the VF-1 off and on again. But the same problem.

Is there a possibility to execute a hardware-reset of the VF-1?

What should I do?

There is a system reset command, but you have to access it via the utility menu. If the thing's locking up when it first comes on, keeping you from accessing the utility menu, then it's probably defective.
