Boss VF-1 Effect Processor

I just got a VF-1 today.  I've read a lot of good things about it 
and it has tons of options, but the presets really suck.  I've done 
some tweaking and it does seem you can get some good sounds of it - 
of course I'll need to experiment a lot to learn the full potential 
of the device.

It just surprises me that Roland would load such crappy presets.  
Even some teenage grunge or metal head wouldn't like them.  I also 
own a Roland VG-8, and it's the same story - the presets suck.  Come 
to think of it, even my Fender CyberTwin has crappy presets ;-)

Sorry for the rant.  I find the situation more comical than 
frustrating. :-)
