Boss VF-1 Effect Processor

Can you run independant effects in parallel on the VF-1, i,e. a 
different effect on the right channel than the left?

The PDF of the manual from Roland indicates that you can run 
independant effects in parallel on page 9 refering you to page 13 where 
you find nothing on the subject.

Is there a way to do this or is this a typo in the manual?
