I'm looking to replace my big old Boss GT-5 with this puppy. Two questions: 1. The GT-5 has a real transistor distortion sound. Does the VF1 have it or are they all simulated. 2. Is there any fancy programming workaround to get an FX loop, perhaps by inputting and outputting separately on the left and right channels (I don't need stereo). I have a Rockman plugged in to my GT-5 FX loop, I'd hate to lose that functionality. Thanks Stublito

Hy, distortion is all simulated, and is possible to get inputs separates, it also have separate gain pot on the front side, anyway i use it as a fx in a loop so i don't use it's simulations because I prefer to use my Bogner shiva to get my sound, I've tried to use it as a preamp and it sounds good but the feel of a multifx is really different from a real tube amp. I downloaded the manual. I read the part that says if you plug cables into both the eft stereo input and the front panel input, the front panel input takes precedence. OK fine. The question is wht happens if you have a signal going to the Right input when you are on guitar mulit? Is it ignored? What I am thinking of is to patch a "Y" cord to the VF front panel input and also to the Rockman. Then I would patch the output of the Rockman to the Right Line in. I expect that I could choose the guitar multi and it would be normal. Then, when I selected say the stereo keyboard patch, the front panel input would be ignored and the Right line input (with the Rockman) would become active.
