Re: [CZ-VZ-Files] VZ10M screen [1 Attachment]

This is permanent, irreversible damage to
the LCD, I have another synth (Technics WSA1) that this has happened to.....the
glass plates of the LCD had separated and the fluid has leaked out in the
direction of gravity. If you can't use as-is because that area of the
screen is un-readable, you will need to replace the LCD. Now that's the
trick as these older models of synths may have custom displays. I would go
to Casio first to see if they have a replacement. Second place is a VZ-10M
that someone is selling for parts or just selling cheap....good
luck....

I'm the proud owner of a VZ-10M but have a screen problem, basically it was fine and in between the time I bought it and rackmounted it, this happened [see pic]. It wasnt hit or damaged by anything, just simply sat on a chair so I'm mystifed. Any suggestions or do I need a completely new screen, or maybe just a loose connection or something, though I doubt it. It;s still usable, as long as it doesnt spread northward.
Many thanks, keep up the good work and nice VZ sounds.
Chris
