I am very interested in purchasing this bank of sounds for my VZ-1. What program do you use to transfer them from the computer to the VZ though?

"All these presets can be freely downloaded from the internet, but, I spent hours and hours (sometimes even days) collecting and edit the best of them to prepare a synth Bank for this demo video on YouTube."

Let me see if I understand, you took VZ patches that other people posted for free on the internet, did a youtube video to demo them, and are now are trying to sell the patches?

Is this correct? Or am I missing something?

And if what I said is exactly true, how much are you giving to the sound designers?

From what I understand, many of the patches were generally available as freeware, from various sources. This guy has collected and sorted through them to find the best, sometimes editing them to make them sound better, and then put a collection together. He is charging 6 Euros for a good set of sounds, which is not much at all. With the number of VZ owners out there being very small, I seriously doubt he is going to make much money on this.

I would also agree that if they were commercially available or had been programmed by a specific author, then taking them and sellling them on is not a cool thing to do. However, I believe the only commercially available patches for the VZ came on the VZ ROM cards and it's highly unlikely that these are included in the collection (as they weren't that good!) All the other few and far between patches were passed around amongst enthusiast groups such as this over the years - origins and authors often unknown.

I would be happy to buy the set if I could find out how to, or what librarian program would, transfer them from my PC to the VZ.

This sounds unethical. I put my various synth patches up for people to enjoy FOR FREE. I don't like the idea of some "organizer" making profit from others good will. I'm against it.

Well, the people who gave their sounds for free worked hours, months and years making sounds, and still they freely give them to interested others. I don't like your style.

Oh come on mate... If you want these "organised" patches just pay him for his time and shut it!

If you don't then use the "free" patches as they are and shut it!

What's good for the goose is good for the gander. There is nothing stopping anyone--me or anyone else, even the guy who spent hours compiling them--from making them freely available on the Internet. They are the result of hours of hard work by the sound designers which were given away for free to begin with. No one should have an issue if the compilation was posted. Can we all agree on that?
