Casio CZ/ VZ/ FZ - Pro Series

I'm thinking about getting a volume pedal for my CZ-3000, and I was 
just wondering if anybody could answer a few questions. The one I'm 
looking at is the Yamaha FC7. That's compatible, right? 

And while moving the pedal, does the pedal motion get transmitted 
over MIDI? Is that control change #7, or does it go as key velocity?
