Sold my 101 a few years ago (with cartridge).. yes I know, stupid of me.... Recently picked up a CZ-1 off Ebay for only $150... perfect shape. Love it. Love the multitimbrality and 64 internal patches... oh how I missed that CZ-101 sound.......... My question is this....... I had a book for the CZ-101 (that I sold with it).... it was called EZCZ or something.. does anyone have this book.... it was like a spiral-bound 6x9 inch book that seemed so ghetto and homemade.... but it wasn't, it was somewhat official.... the sounds in this book kicked ass (well, some of them anyway)... and I miss them.... my old CZ-101 had a plane takeoff patch... which was so damn authentic.... and the Van Halen "Jump" sound, which was insanely authentic as well.... I believe when I bought it from an old friend, the patches were in the EZCZ book.... it had about 1000 patches you could make, in it.... it's how I learned to program my CZ- 101.... does anyone have this or know where to get it? I would gladly pay for you to photocopy it for me if you own a copy of it.... I know it's not part of the CZ Starter Kit (that one guy's site)... I don't have the kit yet but the page description states that he doesn't have the book I'm looking for. Also, I am looking for a site that has programming diagrams (I don't want to pay for a patch floppy or anything).... the sounds I'm looking for are just... ambient pads, slow evolving stuff.. tripped- out sounds... a-la Portishead, Hooverphonic, The Cure, that kind of thing... I also love the whole Depeche Mode/Erasure sound... any good patches like that that I don't have to pay for would be awesome, if you guys know of any sites. But mainly I'm just looking for the EZCZ book... it was a total black and white like photocopied book or something, with black plastic spiral binding. I need that book so bad.... anyway.. A little info on yours truly: been making music for about 8 years now, synth music for only 5.... I'm 26, grew up on 80's new wave that's why I love synths so much... I have a CZ-1, a Novation Nova IIX, Roland D-50, Fender Rhodes stage piano, E-mu Proteus 2000, Yamaha CS1x, E-mu Proformance piano module.... my band if anyone is interested.... http://beautysconfusion.com -- we're basically mellow electronic downtempo stuff a-la Sneaker Pimps, Portishead, Curve, Garbage, Moby, etc... thanks for any help if possible.. and it's great meeting all of you.... please write me back if you guys can help me find that book or if you can find me some really good patches, I know the power of the CZ-1/101... I used it for several years..... I just, ahhh I wanna see if I can get my old sounds back. :) Take care....... -Skip from Beauty's Confusion http://beautysconfusion.com Florida, USA
