Hi Daniel, >Thanks Daniel, now i know its posible ... but how? >It is my first experience with midi and dont understand what you tell >me ... i need very very basic explanation but if you bored or have >not enought time for this question... I understand to you. >In any case, \ufffdwho send a "local off" midimessage? \ufffdpc or Cz? if you just want to play the soundblaster sound with your CZ-1000, plug an appropriate cable into MIDI OUT of the CZ and into MIDI IN of one of the sound cards. I assume you have a sequencer program that records and plays back midi and/or audio? Popular sequencers would be Logic (alas, not on PC anymore), Cubase, Cakewalk, Sek'd Samplitude (those are commercial, professional programs), or Jazz (freeware and almost professional). If you want the sequencer to play the CZ, you need another cable: MIDI OUT of the soundcard to MIDI IN of the CZ. As the CZ cannot send the local off message, it has to be sent from the PC, that is the sequencer. Then the CZ sound is independent from the keyboard. If you want to know more about MIDI, there are plenty of sites on the web: e.g. http://crystal.apana.org.au/ghansper/midi_introduction/contents.html http://www.midi.org/ (official site) http://www.borg.com/~jglatt/tech/midispec.htm Just google "midi specification". If you want to know more about the CZ midi implementation, there is the CZSYSEX.ZIP in our file section, folder CZ-Docs. It contains the "Guidebook for midi" by Casio. Hellmuth
