Casio CZ/ VZ/ FZ - Pro Series

Hello All, 

Been using my CZ-5000 as a MIDI Controller for the past few years.  
Had to break down my mini studio last month so I setup the CZ at 
home.  I wanted to learn sending Sysex commands to the CZ, but kept 
getting this same incorrect response from the CZ.  So I tried just 
recording some notes into my sequencer like I always do and it 
appears that isn't working now either.  

It seems like the CZ is not sending out the right MIDI, like every 
key I press it is sending the same data, something like a reset 
command.  I ran a program to monitor the MIDI input to the PC and it 
looked like the exact same data was being sent to the PC no matter 
what key i pressed, and my sequencer can't record anything, its like 
the sequencer is reset/stopped every key i press.  

Anyone ever heard of something like this happening?  Anyone know if 
there is some kind of system reset that I can try on the CZ-5000 to 
try to get it working?  Could I possibly have sent a Sysex command 
that did something to the MIDI out on the CZ?  I'm worried that 
something on the CZ got fried or something.  Man I will be totally 
bummed if it is broke for good :(

Well, if anyone has any input I would appreciate it.
