Hi All I have been busy looking for usable replacement floppy drives for my FZ-10M and FZ-20M. I wanted to share the following information and links that seem to dovetail into how you can, in fact, get a replacement drive for a reasonable price: 1) Info on setting the drives to 360 RPM instead of 300, and on cabling: http://www.buchty.net/casio/fz1-diskdrive.html 2) Further info on 300 vs. 360 rpm AND Disk Change vs. Disk Ready line: http://nemesis.lonestar.org/computers/tandy/hardware/model16_6000/floppyfix.html 3) Now for the good part. Note that both pages have info on the Newtronics/Mitsumi D359T3 drive. There is a supplier of these drives on eBay at the moment: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=5160092611&fromMakeTrack=true If you can live with a beige face plate on your black FZ and you can use a soldering iron, then this may be an good opportunity to get a drive or two for when disaster sets in. Please Note: a) I have no connection to any of the sites or sellers mentioned b) I can not guarantee that this info is valid or that this will work. c) I have enough confidence in this that I am buying 2 of these drives myself!
