RE: [CZsynth] New Poll? What DID Casio make?

2005-09-10 by Andrew Hellwig

Here is a great link for the Casio Guitar Synths

PG-380, MG-510, PG-300, PG-310, MG-500 ...

I have a PG-380, only onboard battery powered guitar synth, plus has true
MIDI out (Not GR / Roland), Ebony fretboard in a fat strat config.

You can play as a straight guitar / straight synth or blend them. The
battery wont last long, so best with power supply.

I keep forgetting who made the actual guitar (Simon do you know, Ibanez?)

They were a pro guitar synth, way before their time.

Cheers,

Andrew

P.S. You by any chance a Magnum / Bob Catley Fan? Forgive if I asked that
before great classic rock gang

The PG-380 is definitely a Casio model, and as far as I know the only Casio
guitar with a built-in synth - there were however also MG-series MIDI
guitars and a range of DG plastic digital "guitars". Roland never made a
guitar with an onboard synth.

Hi all. As has been pointed out, the current poll regarding what
Casio equipment everyone has is sadly lacking. I would like to build
a new poll that is more completed, but should it be limited to the
CZ/FZ/VZ instruments, or should it include the RZ/SZ/DH/PG equipmemnt?
Does anyone know of a COMPLETE list of Casio equipment with these
models? What about the rebranded Hohner equipment? Can anyone supply
a list of Honer modesl versus the Casio models? I would rather NOT
include the home equipment (the list would neve end), so if someone
what to build a separate poll for that equipment, please go for it.
I'll watch for replys for a week or so and than build the new poll.

  Currently I know of:
  CZ: 101, 1000, 3000, 5000, 1, 230s, 2000s, 2600s (PD synths)
  FZ: 1, 10m, 20m (Samplers)
  VZ: 1, 10m, 8m (iPD synths)
  RZ-1 (sampling rythm unit)
  SZ-1 (MIDI sequencer)

  I have hard of:
  PG-380 (Guitar synth?) {Is this Casio or Roland??}

With over a thousand members, we should be able be a pretty complete
  listing for the poll.
