So there's no OS or menu present when the FZ is turned on? Going off memory here, but don't think there's an OS disk in my collection, sorry. Other keepers of the FZ-flame may be able to help, though. Speaking of the FZ-20m, I've been talking w/ Larry T. lately in regards to replacing our respective FZ disk drives. Rainer's site seemingly has a lot of info, but isn't terribly straightforward on replacement instructions - lost in translation, perhaps? http://www.buchty.net/casio/fz1-diskdrive.html Has anyone on-list actually successfully replaced their drive?? BTW, I picked up an FZ repair manual recently. One diagnostic trick I was previously unaware of was to hold the 'Display' button down while powering up. A disk tool and LCD/display tool show up in the opt software section. Works on FZ-10/20m, but dunno about the FZ-1. Gave me just enough info to tell me my current drive is a POS. ;-) --- In CZsynth@yahoogroups.com, <jaywires@...> wrote: > > Hi everyone. I'm new here.
