The CasioTony CZ-101R lives! I finally got my service manual. I used it to understand the CZ- 101. From its guidance, I learned what I could do to the stock CZ. Then I took my CZ-101 apart. I desoldered the following boards: * piano keyboard switch matrix * programmer keyboard switch matrix * programmer LED latch board I stuffed the remaining boards (Synth, P/S, Display, volume, on-off switch) into a 1U rackmount shelf unit that acts as a chassis. I used corrugated paper for a faceplate to mount the controls. All external connections actually wound up facing backwards. I used my CZ-1000 to send my CZ-101R MIDI notes. It plays fine! I'll post a URL to pictures and instructions later this week. Even if I never build the new programmer interface that I've designed, I have a working rackmounted CasioTony CZ-101R. Tony/Grondak
