I LOVED that book.
I recall that some of the stringsounds were pretty good:-)

FYI: We (AlgoMusic, see sig below) will be releasing a VST CZ emulator 
called "CZynthia" soon (1-2 months, PC only).

Some key features includes:
- Graphical 8 stage envelopes for DCO, DCW and DCA,
- the typical Casio noise and ringmodulator.
- FX section including (stereo) delay, phaser and chorus

We think the sound is pretty convincing.
