Using multi on the CZ is perhaps a little weird at first, but actually quite easy. There are two things to bear in mind: the CZ will give you 8 part multi, but only from incoming midi signals, not the key board. Also: have you checked out split and layer modes which give you 2 part multi-timbre (with selectable voices) from the keyboard? Here is a guide for Getting 8 part multi from the CZ: 1) Go into the midi settings. 2) Change mode to m.mode 3) Underneath you will see midi channel. Set this to the starting midi channel you want the CZ to respond to. Ie: if you want voice 1 on channel 1 leave it set to one. If you want voice 1 on channel 2 set it to two. (and so on...) 4) next to channel in brackets is another number. It can be set between 1 and 8. These are the possible number of voices you can use. If you want 8 voices, set the number in brackets to 8. So: if you are in m.mode with midi channel set to 1 and the number of voices set to 8, your CZ will respond to incoming midi channels 1 to 8, giving you 8 voices. 5) How do you set the patches (or voices if you prefer)to be played on each channel???? This must be done from your sequencer: Create your 8 sequence parts and make sure that each part sends a different patch number out to the CZ. You will then hear your 8 timbres/patches/voices... Hope that helps. Adam
