If that only > seems bizarre to me, and not you, then I think you're probably > insane, regardless of whether that observation feels insulting to you. i'm actually not complaining bout a personal lack of success; i consider myself adequately successful on my own terms: decently respected by plenty of people. i'm fortunate enough to have skills besides musicianship that ARE highly valued in our society, so i am not hurting for income. some people don't have such skills, they are "only" very talented musicians, and they are hurting a lot. i'm also fortunate enough to have the skills and resources to make perfectly great-sounding recordings at home. again, many people do not, despite the sale of lots and lots of "budget-pro" equipment.
