CZ-1, and also CZ 3000/ 5000 can only load the data from the RA-3 (and RA-5) card into the CZ's internal memory. As such I find the cards rather pointless for the big CZ's as they don't actually add any extra memory to the 3000/5000/1, whereas with the 101 and 1000 it does give you extra patch memory as well as the existing internal memory banks. I have an RA-3 card that works with my CZ-1 and also CZ3000, yet freezes up my 101 and a friend's 1000 if I try and get it to work on them. Which is a shame as what I wanted was to use my 101 for developing patches (it's petite size means it's always close to hand while it's bigger brothers are stored elsewhere), and then when I get good patches I can transfer them over to the CZ-1. I'm not sure on how many patches can be held on them, I think it's actually 16 for the RA-3 and 32 for the RA-5, and I've not yet tried saving named patches from the CZ-1 either. The CZ-1 has so many more patch locations compared with the other CZ's I've never felt the need! I still wish I could get my RA-3 to work with my 101 :-( Chas On 24 January 2012 20:43, wolf <vukansto@gmail.com> wrote: > ** > > > Hi there, > > I just want to ask if somebody have experience using Casio CZ-1 and RA-3 > ram card? > > I read somewhere on net that CZ-1 can access RA-3 memory but only can > recognize 32 patches with some limitations (without patch names and without > some velocity and aftertouch data).
