Sorry I think your correct,its a long time since I used an CZ3000/5000  
I just assumed it could be,I was using it as a controller too because  
I  never had money at the time I just would have thought it would have  
responded to velocity over midi but I sold them before I actually got  
a velocity sensitive keyboard to try them out.
