I play Starr Labs Ztars mainly, and the guitars (as only one example) of the XW-P1 PCM voices are excellent in a mix and layered with pads.. The PCM voices are COMPLIMENTARY to other synths.. (why would anyone want just more of the same old CM sounds as other synths?)
I have many synths with guitars, including a dedicated Kurzweil GX guitar rack, and Triton rack, and WSA1R and K2000 and many more, and this does it so much better,. Of all of my synths..this little (and yes light) Casio is a real winner for me, and just gets deeper the more I explore it..
Listen to and watch some of the dedicated Mike Mathews XWP1 workshops for excellent programing tips and glimpses of huge sonic possibilities..,
.No-one has previously given keyboard players so much for their money, and folks pay out much more cash than this costs for other manufacturers products, just so they can have for example the very fat hex-type mono layered sounds, or the 'it takes 3-second to program' very excellent Hammond B3 sounds..
