Wat back, Electronic Musician magazine ran an article about cutting out the APO switch, and rewire to use 2 more cartridge banks. You may have a problem in that part of the unit.

       Hi all,
 I just bought a CZ-101 with some
sort of power problem. It stays on all the time, and the
power switch is ineffective. So far, I've checked that
the continuity on the ribbon coming from the switch board
changes when the switch is depressed (and threw on some
contact cleaner, just in case). I can also hear the relay
switch on and off, but strangely this seems to have no
effect. Adjusting the resistor for the power detect fail
circuit, I can make it turn *off* when the switch is on, and
rapidly oscillate on and off when the switch is off. But if
it's fully on when the switch is on, then it's
always on when it's off, too. I don't have the full
service manual (just the schematics that are floating
around), so idk exactly how I'm supposed to adjust that
VR, or if there's another one (but it doesn't look
like it from the schematics). Anyone have any ideas? Also,
does anyone have the full service manual? Also, I see a few
things missing from the schematics but present on the
boards. Do we know if there were several revisions of the
 101?

 At least
it's stuck in "on." Maybe I should just keep
 playing it?? :-P

 Thanks!

 Evan
