This is my first mail here. Fortunately enough, someone gave me a CZ-5000, but it has some errors. Some of these are cosmetically (missing slider tops), others are more on the technical side. There are some digital noise in the sound, but only on half of the keys pressed (4 with noise, 4 without noise). I did calibrate the DAC offset, but it didn´t help (it was already almost correct anyway). I looked at the service manual, and there seems to be two paths for the sounds, and checking them with my scoop I do find that it is only one half that has these errors. I am trying to figure out if there is an error in the CPU or with these Music LSI chips. Anyone here who has any experience with this, or can point me in the right direction?
Most of the time analog synthesizers are my thing, but the sound from the CZ-5000 is quite interesting, so I would like to have it working properly.
