I've not experienced it - but I have worked on an AZ1 and the basic architecture of how to scan the keys is very similar. In the 101's case though it seems the CPU uses a 74154 - which sounds like it might be the source of the problem.

Subject: [CZsynth] no buttons working on my CZ101
My trusty CZ101, which I use all the time in my studio, seems to have taken ill. Suddenly this morning, upon powering up, none of the buttons work at all, meaning that I have stuck on Preset 1 and cannot change programs or perform any other task. Keys, pitch bend, volume and outputs all are working fine. Anyone in this group ever experience this before? Is there a fix or is it time to get a new CZ (again)?
