Casio CZ/ VZ/ FZ - Pro Series

hello there I've just joined the group and I was wondering if anyone 
knows how yo get the sequencer on the cz5000 to repeat a phase 
endlessly? I've tried the method used in the manual but to no 
avail ,the phase just plays once and stops,is it possible or have I 
a dud sequencer?

As long as you place the repeat sign [ :II #7 ] at the
end of the phrase, it should repeat.
