Casio CZ/ VZ/ FZ - Pro Series

Anyone ever try using something like the Kenton Control Freak to
program the CZ's?  I fantasize about using actual knobs to adjust
parameters in real time...

Sorry, no, travesty.  My use of midi is pretty rudimentary, using Midisport 1 X 1 and Soundlib to send to my CZ5000.  I record on a Tascam 414III.

I forget the details 'cause it's been awhile since I've used the CZ's, but if I remember correctly the 
CZ's re-trigger when paramaters are edited. I think you can change vibrato depth, portamento ammount, 
and perhaps a few others, but for the DCA & DCF you will just get a stepped retrigger for each step. 
Not generally pleasurable.
