The VZ programming tutorial is pretty cool.

The VZ programming tutorial is pretty cool.

Can't wait to see it develop more. When I first got the VZ and wanted to do
a square wave I did it additively. If you're clever you can get a monophonic
32 harmonic monster square wave out of the VZ. I'll have to test out the iPD
approach.

I've been observing square waves with an oscilloscope
since age 14, and somehow the monster square wave
escaped me. Next time you see the monster wave, could you
pls record it and send to the list for examination. Thanks.

LOL, the monster square wave only really comes out when there's a full moon.
You got be real vigilant to see it. The CZ does a pretty good square too,
especially if it's detuned a little bit.

Hi Jon,

I think you'll find that the square wave is quite ok (maybe even better then
the additive version of it... ;))...

I checked it with the oszilloscope and it looks like this...

  __________
 | ---------
 | |
 | | |
                     | |
                     | ________|
                     ----------

There are some variations possible for instance changing the sinus of osc. 1
to saw 1 what will increase the level of the overtones at the higher end of
the spectrum....
