Hi Steve,

Thank you for replying. I actually figured out
how to do this after posting my question. I fould
out you have to put the CZ-1 into Multi mode and
then specify how many notes each receiving
channel will allow. I tested the setup with 4
notes on channel 1, 3 on channel 2 and 1 on
channel 3. This worked fine  for the songs I am
working with for a musical. The CZ-1 will be 1 of
4 or 5 keyboards used for the performances.

Yes, the CZ-1 is multitimbral up to 8 voices.

"In the MULTI CHANNEL mode, any number of 
channels from among the 16 
(01 - 16) can be selected for receipt of 
individual tones of the 
polyphonic value (the total must be 8-note 
polyphonic or less)."

Do you have a CZ-1 that you are trying to put 
into multi mode?
