need help--cz-5000 part, do you have one?

2005-05-20 by Don Fluckinger

Calling all owners of parts CZ-5000s (or people who can tell me where to find one of these
elsewhere):

I broke the AC socket where the power cord plugs into the back of the CZ-5000. I need
another one. I thought findine one would be east because it's the same cord as most PCs
and peripherals but no dice. No store or Web site I've looked at has a replacement, and all
the dead hardware here at my house just isn't working.

I hacked together a cord setup that will work for now but I can't get the CZ into my hard
case I bought until I fix it for real.

Does anyone have one of these? For how much? I would swap a CZ-1000 power-supply/
adaptor if someone needs one!

Can anyone point me to a Web site that sells these???

Thanks,
don

Hi Don,

I know were to get one in germany, this is the link to the spare part that
probably would work with CZ-1 and VZ-1. I guess the CZ5000 is using the same...

If it's a regular IEC socket then you could look at Fry's (if you have one
nearby).

Even if it's not an IEC cord you can still put one in; I had to retro-fit
one of these in an old Roland rack-mount synth that didn't come with a
power cord. I just had to file the opening a little bit to get the socket
to fit in properly.

HTH.
