Casio CZ/ VZ/ FZ - Pro Series

I've had a CZ-101 for a while and it's lots of fun.  I've been
programming my own sounds, but have lost them periodically because of
a bad memory back-up capacitor (now repaired).  I downloaded a bunch
of patches from the web in sysex midi files.  I also downloaded a
program to load them called dumpster.  I can't get the patches to load
into my synth.  Is there anything that I need to do to prepare the
CZ-101 to receive sysex messages?  Any other thoughts on what I might
be doing wrong?
