plastic sounding leads

2007-08-25 by Giles Thompson

hi i am trying to program leads like the ones used by "Justice" the
best adjective i can come up with is plasticy however i haven't had
much success, does anyone have any idea which waveforms i should use
and how i could get this effect (possilby a gliding fast waveform or
pitch envelope)

any ideas would be really appreciated thanks

Well, unfortunately the soundquality of the Youtube stuff is rather
bad, but I got the slight impression that this could be an e-bass
sent thru a modulated higpass filter...

I was actually thinking a CZ would have to be run through a fuzz box
(or some other effects processor) to get that kind of punch +
distortion. --Steve

i tried the modulated high pass and got a similar result but nowhere near
as tight. it's not the exact effect i was looking for though and i've had
some progress programming plastic-like leady on my cz so i think i'll be
pretty sweet from here i just need to get used to these waveform envelopes
chur for the help guys,
giles
