Casio CZ/ VZ/ FZ - Pro Series

Hi buddies, I`m pHede from Buenos Aires. I bought a CZ-1 few months ago and I`m a little paranoid with the following (problem?)
 
In SOLO MODE I can press just one key
In TONE MIX MODE I can press 4 keys at the same time
In SPLIT MODE I can press 8 keys at the same time
 
AND.... (here is my paranoia)
 
In NORMAL MODE I can press only 8 keys at the same time... IS THAT OK?!
 
I thought I could press 16 keys at the same (is my concept wrong?)
I mean, the manual says that CZ-1 is 16 note polyphonic. I`m very new in synths, so maybe I`m wrong about the meaning of 16 note polphonic. 
 
 
I just want to know if my lovely CZ-1 is working well or need reparation :(

Yep, everything is fine, 16 Voices are avaiable when using only one 
DCO per voice and the keyboard isn't sending more than 8 voices at 
once. Still 16 voices can be usefull for sounds with long release...
