Casio CZ/ VZ/ FZ - Pro Series

Hi, all!
Just got a CZ-1 which has two problems:

1. - The display won't show all the settings.  Example, I can't get any of the ENVELOPE settings - the display's either blank, or the screen is faint and jittering in and out.  All the patches and many of the main functions are bright and clear... 
I've re-inserted the ribbon connectors where I can reach them, with very mild improvement.  Any idea at all where to look?

2. - At times, the entire synth will shut off for about 2 seconds - then it pops back on like nothing happened!  It's intermittant, and really have no idea where to look for this one, other than the P/S and/or switch.

Hi Dave & Group,  I have some CZ-1 display problems now (was working).

Although the LCD shows boldly, it is striped (ie. missing horizontal lines) - not sure if it's just poor connection of ribbon/cable connections or dry joint? or something else.

Anyone else had this and fixed it?  cheers, Richard.
