Hi, just on the point about a battery on the motherboard, your question made me curious, so I opened up my CZ101. If the thing you have found (that looks a bit like a battery clip) lines up with a hole on the underside of the casing marked 'P', don't try to squeeze a battery under it! This is actually an internal memory reset switch (resets the 16 internal memories to factory presets).

The manual is quite clear that only the 6 D-size batteries maintain the internal memory. It also says that the memory will be retained for about 10 minutes while the batteries are being replaced, so that suggests some charge held in capacitors, certainly no internal battery. Also, having checked the CZ circuit schematics, there is no place I can see for a seperate battery.

See pages 3-4 of the CZ101 manual:

If you have an RA-3 RAM cartridge, that does have a button cell to maintain memory when not in use (CR-2016).

Enjoy your CZ! I just ran mine through an old but good multi-fx unit last night and it sounded very... expensive! :-)

Also I mentioned it is F, B keys on 2,3,4 octave. Is there an info, maybe it can be a problem with resistors or chips (as capacitors looks fine)? Of course I can manually check them, but there are a so much components inside.

Sounds about right to me - the P hole should have a spring loaded contact, and my 1000 loses memory when not plugged in.
