CZ-1000 "MIDI Full!" message

CZ-1000 "MIDI Full!" message

2013-08-29 by dabomb6502

I'm trying to use SoundLib with my CZ-1000; the program specifically supports it, but there's an issue: when I transfer a full bank of sounds, it runs through the transfer, and then the CZ-1000 comes up with the message "MIDI FULL!" I can't find anything about this in the manual; I presume it's complaining that the receive buffer overflowed? In any case, the transfer only partially completes; instrument #16 and usually a couple others aren't affected at all. CZLib doesn't have this issue, so I suspect it's an issue with SoundLib and not my MIDI adapter (MIDISport Uno 1x1) but CZLib takes something like four or five times as long for the transfer.

Is this a known issue with SoundLib? Is there a fix for it? Funny that it would specifically support the CZ-1000 yet not work with it...

Yes - it is a buffer problem - sounds like Soundlib is using too big a buffer - I don't know the program, but sometimes transfer programs have buffer settings - I have had to adjust mine on MIDIox sometimes to accommodate different machines - notably samplers.
