Cz-101 stuttering on polyphony issue/glitch

Not sure if this is common or how to describe it. Basically when certain combos of 2 or more keys are pressed, there is a random jitter/stutter of a not repeating while the other notes are held down. I can upload a recording if my description isn't adequate.
I bought it second hand, and it seems like the problem has escalated. The only mod i did was adding a backlit lcd since the original was broken.
I was thinking this may be a power supply problem or power issue since the new screen draws more due to the lit lcd. Also I only have been using one power supply which may not be rated properly for the CZ. Outside of that maybe I have a faulty clock or something that causes the jitter, or maybe it is related to the polyphony chip since that seems to be when it occurs.
If this is a common issue link me to other treads. I wasn't able to dig anything up on this.
I am good with electronics so if it means swapping out a chip, I am willing to do it.
