HELP !! CZ101 NOT WORKING : (

2002-09-04 by giannopoulosc

Hi

My "new" cz 101 wont power up! I have opened up the keyboard and it
apears that at some point there was a battery leak although none of
it seems to have gone much further than the battery compartment/
cardboard on the bottom. If there any thing I can check eg any fuses
that may have blown or common things that may have caused it to stop
working.

Thanks in advance

Chris

P.S. Thanks for the replies to my last post..

HELP !! CZ101 NOT WORKING Part 2 !!!! : (

2002-09-04 by giannopoulosc

Hi

I just went to the shops and bought some batteries. When I put them
in and turn the power on everything lights up (all the LEDs and the
Screen). On the screen it just shows black blocks like it is
displaying every character at once. Has any one got any idea what
this may be? ( I still cant find an english manual on the web. Does
any one know a website I could find one on, as it may have the answer
to my problem!!)

Thanks

Chris

I'm having one Cz-101 here ..

In power up it lites up only couple leds (3 + power) and udates screen
real quikly. So it looks like for some reason your machine is not
booting up at all.

I suspect that those leaks may have caused some damage.. .. but try to
check for loose wires too.. some of them migh not been having good
solder.

Have you tried reinitializing the unit by powering up with the infamous p
button depressed?

Hi

I have tried booting with the P button in (if thats the one on the
bottom of the keyboard.)

I will try looking for loose wires.

If I cant find any I guess I will have to look for a repair shop.

I hope I can sort this out as cosmetically the keyboard is in mint
condition (Not alot of good if it cant make any noise though!)

Thanks for the replies

Chris
