Casio CZ/ VZ/ FZ - Pro Series

Hello everybody,

it is here! The first version of "Twek CZ" for Atari ST: an editor and librarian,
so far quite simple, for the cz series, including the "hidden parameters"
researched by Sealed (Thanks a lot!).

I do not know if *everything* works ok, and it lacks copy functions, but
it works. I think it is quite self-explanatory. Since the CZ space was full,
I placed it here: http://www.matucana.de/czedit.html. You need the first
two files, the sound file is a test file, containing the CZ-1 presets.

Notes: 
- Use only if you have backups of your CZ sounds.
- On other synths as the CZ-1, various memory areas will not be accessible.
- Velocities and line levels work only with the CZ-1.

Today I tried Tweak CZ with an atari emulator. This is my first experience 
with atari and don't know much about it, so I soon stuck with OMS. But 
the editor itself is very cool and atari platform is enticing me to explore..
..

Hello Atari Users,

having tested my own CZ editor for several days, I have to announce that it
is not
working to my contentment. There are several things about the sound editor
that
need smoothing out as they do not work correctly. Sorry.
However, this applies only to the hidden cz parameters - the other sounds
are being
nicely handled.

My course of exploring led to the conclusion that the CZ DROID format does
NOT support the hidden parameters. I did not realize that before.
Consequently,
my CZ_EFF.ZIP file, available in out file section, does NOT demonstrate the
true
power of the hidden CZ parameters. Meanwile, please be patient until I find
the
time to upload the original effect ounds to my site, as well as new versions
of
Twea-CZ. I will keep you informed.
