Re: [Casio_FZ_Samplers] Re: newbie FZ10M midi dump with win 8 or mac osx

After reading the fz data structures it becomes evident that the fz sends in blocks of 1024 with headers.
I tried the Alesis on 'receive multiple sysx' (which works with yamaha pss series voice files which have 5 sysx in one transmission) presuming a block might count as 'one sysx message' - alas this did not work either.

The manual details the 'remote code' sysx which I presume is the first message sent by a pc when it wants data.
I do not recall what my fz said in the square brackets when I first got it, but I am fairly certain it was not 'remote'
The previous mail detailed someone saying there's was stuck in 'remote mode' and I do not know if this affects transfers initiated from the fz.

I tried sending 'close midi' which is the last thing a pc ought to send after communicating hoping to see a change in the 'remote' status, but nothing altered.
I am unaware as to whether anything other than 'remote' is shown in the brackets beneath the device selection, but it seems logically suggestive that some other state should be evident at some point.

There is an indication in the PDF that there seems to be no effect in changing the master volume remotely using sysex, but the fact that a sysex command exists for volume change exists must mean that surely it can be changed.
